The room, the light, the little clear beds. I soak it all in when I visit a new family for their Fresh 48 session. What exactly is a Fresh 48 Session you ask? It’s a session done in the hospital, and it is a session like no other. I do these on day 2 of your new baby’s life. I opt to be there when siblings and grandparents are also visiting or are visiting for the first time. I focus on capturing beautiful moments between your family, ones that you might miss otherwise.

These sessions are so often looked over, and passed up, but gosh, they are so pivotal. You’ll try to remember all of this, but you really can’t. Life happens and with it so much that happens in the first few days of your newborn’s life, you’ll try to remember it all and capture it all but it’s just not possible to be in the moment and capture it at the same time.

Thats where I come in. and for the first time, they are a family of FOUR! This is the first time she held her baby brother, and she was smitten over him. Grandma was holding Mateo when I came into the room. These are the first few photos I grabbed. I can’t imagine the joy a grandparent must feel. Daddy and his littles. One proud papa right here, and rightfully so. 

Mama, look ! Gah I melt. Baby fever is a real thing ya’ll.
A little kiss from big sister, I love how she still needs her daddy’s help.
