As a mama of three littles I don’t think I’ll ever ever tire of getting to see newborn babies on a daily basis.  I love everything about them, and I love creating gorgeous timeless artwork for new parents to treasure for a lifetime.

I especially love when I get the opportunity to meet my clients while they’re still pregnant. This give us a great opportunity to get to know one another and to become super comfortable before baby arrives. It’s an important thing to hand your brand new baby over to a person you don’t really know yet. There is a lot of trust that goes into hiring a newborn photographer.

You can see some of Axel’s parents Maternity Session here. They are as sweet as they are gorgeous! Sometimes I do feel like I have the most amazing clients out there, but I may be a bit biased.

Axel came to see me at just about two weeks old, he was delicious for his newborn session and allowed me to pose him into so many beautiful poses.

Newborn photography is more than just taking photos, there are so many various elements to it that come full circle for artwork like what is shown in Axel’s gallery.

During a session I am handling your baby. This means I must have the most careful loving and patient hands. It also means that I have to know babies, really know them. It is my job to know when baby is hungry, when they need to poop or pee, if they are flexible enough for certain poses, etc. Each baby is different and so each session is unique to the baby being photographed. Some babies sleep well through poses and others require very slow movements and minimal transitions.

I take great pride in the artwork I create and the care I handle each of my littlest clients with. I could truly photograph newborn babies all day and never tire. It’s a true love of the work that makes for the most beautiful images.
