Grand Opening Celebration | Gruene Photography Studio

When I first started my photography business 5 years ago I knew instantly that I wanted to open a legitimate store front studio. I was working out of the upstairs game room area of our home, and I never quite felt like it was professional enough for my business. My goal has always been to open a store front photography studio. I wanted a place that was beautiful, large enough for my crazy big mini session setups and where my clients could visit for their sessions feel comfortable and pampered at the same time.

Last year we moved from Boerne to New Braunfels, and it has been wonderful for our family! New Braunfels has been so welcoming to us, and truthfully there is so much for our young family to do! After a year of searching for the right studio space we accidentally stumbled upon the best kept secret of New Braunfels, The Shops At Gruene Lake Village!

The Village is nestled in Gruene Texas, just past the Gristmill Restaurant. It was so quaint and beautiful, I just had to have a space there! I called the owner and she was able to get me the most amazing space, with the perfect amount of natural light, a wardrobe and prop room and a private restroom where I could fit a changing table for my little clients. This space sang to us! My husband and I signed the lease as soon as we could!

We are a husband and wife team. My husband Michael runs his Wedding Videography business, Dynamic Films while I focus on Newborns and young babies with Nancy Berger Photography. The studio will be the perfect space for him to meet with couples for pre wedding consultations while I meet with young families to create gorgeous portraits for them.

When I first had the idea of doing a grand opening celebration I was hesitant, but the more I thought about it, I realized that this was a once in a lifetime celebration. I mean how many times in your life are you going to open your dream photography studio!??

It has truly been my clients who have supported me, praised me and helped me to get to this point in my business, and they all deserved to celebrate with me! So I called a planner to get the party planning started!

The Grand Opening Party was so much fun! We are still on cloud 9 over here ya’ll! Ryan Hamilton Photography captured the day for us with these beautiful photos!
2tarts provided sweet treats, Bartenders4you provided amazing margaritas, Boho Blooms decorated with beautiful floral centerpieces, Embellished Event Planning made our pretty balloon banner, Bonjour Texas fed us yummy food, Lil’ Coonies Cottage Children’s Boutique, Texas Heart Jewelry & Apparel Company, LLC, and Popbelly’s Popcorn gave away awesome door prizes!!!Look Entertainment had a super cool photobooth for all of our guest, Once Upon A Party sent Moana over, and all the kids got their faces painted! Wolf Weddings & Events provided gorgeous linens to polish the table setups with !

Thank you to everyone who came out, we were blown away by how many people came to celebrate with us! I am so excited for the future of the studio and the next events we are already planning!
