Myles Mini Newborn Session | South Texas Newborn Photographer

Myles’s mother contacted me to photograph her sweet boy when he was just a few days old. Luckily I was able to fit him into my schedule and I could not be happier with his images.

He was so sweet so easy to photograph.

I am not sure there is any prop I love more than a bear bonnet. I don’t know what it is about a baby bear all snug as al little bug, but I love it!

Shadows. I live for shadows. I have never been a fan of “flat light,” or full on light in photos where everything is evenly lit. Of course there is a time and place for those types of photos, and truly, to each their own. But for me, I am drawn to emanational images, and ones like this image of Myles captivates me. I find myself studying his features, his fingers and toes, that indention above his lip, and my gosh those lashes.

Learning how to work with natural light has been a long journey for me, and I have to say that I am finally where I’ve longed to be. I hope his mama looks at these images and cries. I good cry of course.

For mini sessions I tend to focus more on simple setups that capture the sweetness of baby and that still allow for a great set of monochromatic images that can be hung together throughout your home.
